Comedy of error at Munnery's press night Chit Chat The Stage 19/04/2001 TABARD The gods have not been kind to Simon Munnery. Just desserts, some might say, given that the man behind The League Against Tedium is prone to bouts of blasphe - mous blethering and the odd Nietzschean aside. The Perrier Award-nomi - nated comic, who saw his recent and much-maligned television series buffeted so far into BBC2's Sunday night graveyard slot it almost ended up in the Learning Zone, faced further ignominy at the press night of his Attention Scum show at Soho Theatre. Word has it that the box office computer packed up, leaving staff to draft the tickets ad hoc. The result being that the assembled hacks and black-rimmed spectacle-wear - ing Soho types tottered into the auditorium clutching little slips of paper which proudly trumpeted the new show from, erm, The League of Tedium. It wasn't that bad, really.
